Our Projects
Explore our impactful projects supporting climate vulnerable communities in Ghana.
The Eco-Leadership Series is an ongoing flagship initiative designed to ignite a paradigm shift in how young Ghanaians perceive and respond to climate change. Through a dynamic mix of training workshops, peer-led knowledge exchanges, and public engagement campaigns, the project seeks to empower a new generation of climate-conscious leaders who are well-equipped to take bold, local actions for global impact.
This project offers young people across Ghana the opportunity to build leadership and advocacy skills, gain practical tools, connect with global peers, and amplify their voices on pressing environmental issues.
Eco-Leadership Series
The Mobile Irrigation for Enhanced Smallholder Productivity (MIESP 1.0) is an innovative water sharing water project by Green Planet, Thriving People aimed at boosting year-round farming in Ghana’s Bole District.
The Mobile Irrigation for Enhanced Smallholder Productivity (MIESP 1.0)
By using tricycle-mounted water tankers to deliver water from strategically sited boreholes within proximate distance to the farmer group, the project will follow a carefully designed irrigation schedule to supply sufficient quantity of water to beneficiary farmers to boost their production. The first phase of the project will support 180 smallholder farmers, create about 20 jobs for local youth, and contribute to reducing food insecurity by 20% in four drought-prone communities in the Savannah Region of Ghana.
Through climate-smart training and sustainable water access, MIESP 1.0 empowers farmers to grow more, earn more, and build resilience to climate change
